Okomu Oil led 27 other stocks, despite market decline of 0.27%

The Nigerian Bourse on Thursday extends decline from the previous trading session as the All Share Index slides 0.27% to close at 38,928.02 points as against 39,031.72 points of Wednesday.

Market capitalisation drops by 0.26%, closing at N14.102 trillion as against N14.139 trillion of the last trading session, implying a loss of N37 billion.

Volume of traded stocks declined by 26.26%, shedding about 119 million units to settle at 336.6 million units from 456.4 million units it traded on Wednesday. Value of traded stocks grew by 26.90% to settle at N5.245 billion above N4.134 billion recorded in the previous trading session.

Market Breadth

28 stocks closed positive against 18 that lost bringing the market breadth to a positive round off.

Percentage Gainers

Okomu Oil led other percentage gainers, closing 10.24% above the previous close of N82.00 to settle at N90.40

Ikeja Hotel grew 9.20% and Japaul Oil grew 5.56% ahead other stocks like ETERNA, Cutodian and C&I Leasing.

Percentage Losers

Mutual Benefit tops the losers’ chart losing 6.06% of its share price, while NEIMETH and Union Diagnostic both shed 4.76% each.

 

Volume Drivers

UCAP has the highest traded volume of about 101.625 million units of its shares, while UBA traded 66.103 million units of its shares in 124 deals worth about N720 Million
