NSEASI Slumps 0.45% with positive Breadth, Monday 

The Nigerian Bourse on Monday extended decline as the All Share Index slumped 0.45% to close at 26,866.41 points below 26,987.45 points of the last trading session on Friday.

Market capitalisation declined also to N13.078 trillion from 13.137 trillion of the last trading session, thereby shedding 59 billion or 0.45%.

The Volume and value of traded stock closed higher with 9.24% and 45.56% to stand at 151 million units and N1.5 billion in 2,854 deals respectively.

Market Breadth

17 stocks closed gained against 16 that lost bringing the market breadth to a positive round off.

Percentage Gainers

COURTVILLE led gainers’ table, closing 10.00% above the previous close of N0.20 to settle at N0.22, Africa Prudential grew 9.94% and ABC Transport grew 8.82% ahead of other stocks on the green table.

Percentage Losers

Cornerstone Insurance tops the losers’ chart losing 10.00% of its share price, while SEPLAT, CADBURY and CAVERTON shed 6.85%, 5.74% and 5.38% respectively.

Volume Drivers

At the close of the day’s trading, Zenith Bank traded about 6 million units of its share, worth about N123 million exchanged in 341 hands
