NSEASI Sinks Further, Closing with a balanced breadth, Wednesday

The Nigerian Stock Market closed in red again on Wednesday despite closing the day with a balance breadth as 21 stocks gained to cross out another 21 that lost.

The All Share Index fell by 0.45% to close at 28,966.41 points against 29,096.41 points of the last trading session.

Market capitalization dipped by 0.45% to settle at N10.887 trillion against N10.936 trillion recorded on Tuesday, indicating a loss of N49 billion.

Volume of traded stocks dropped by 24.51% while the value appreciated by14.37%, to arrive at 324 million units and N3.2 billion respectively.

 

Market Breadth

21 stocks closed positive against 21 that closed negative, bringing the market breadth to a perfect balance.

Percentage Gainers

Beta Glass tops the percentage gainers’ chart, closing 9.97% above the previous close of N62.70 to settle at N68.95

Livestock grew 6.78%, ETERNA Oil and Dangote Flour gained 5.13% and 5.00% of their share prices ahead of other stocks on the chart

Percentage Losers

Goldlink Insurance Plc tops the losers’ chart, losing 10.00% of its share price for the day. Also on the red chart are CHAMS, Japaul Oil, and Sovereign Insurance all shedding above 8% of their share prices at the close of the day’s trading.

Volume Drivers

Zenith Bank traded about 32 million units of its shares in 395 deals, worth about N661 million.
