NSEASI gains N74bln, closes 0.70% higher, Tuesday

Trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange closed higher , in an all green session on Tuesday as the All Share Index soared by 0.70% closing at 30,822.33 points as against the previous close of 30,609.06 points.

Market capitalisation also grew by 0.66% closing at N11.255 trillion, as against N11.181 trillion of the previous trading session.

Volume and value of traded stocks appreciated by 47.10% and 193.86%, to arrive at 316 million units and N5 billion respectively.

                    Market Breadth

24 stocks closed positive while 11 stocks lost, bringing the market breadth to a positive round off.

              Percentage Gainers

NEIMETH led other price percentage gainers closing 10.00% above its previous close of N0.60 to settle atN0.66.

CCNN, Forte Oil, Diamond Bank, UAC-Property, Wema Bank and Niger Insurance, all made it to the gainers table, growing above 9.00% of their last share prices, ahead of other 17 stocks on the gainers’ chart.

               Percentage Losers

Access Bank tops the losers’ table, Shedding 5.52% of its share price. This is followed by Mutual Benefits, Nigerian Breweries and LASACO all shedding 4.76%, 3.40% and 3.33% respectively.

                Volume Drivers

Zenith Bank recorded the highest volume of traded stocks on Tuesday, trading about 102 million units of its shares in 286 deals, valued at about N2.3 billion.
