NSEASI drops 0.77% further, Thursday

The Nigerian Bourse on Thursday extends decline from the previous trading session as the All Share Index dipped by 0.77% to close at 35,086.67 points from 35,358.94 points on Wednesday.

Market capitalisation also declined from N12.909 trillion to close at N12.809 trillion, shedding N100 billion.

Volume of traded stocks dropped by 17.52 percent and the Value of traded stock grew by 51.94 percent to arrive at 284.596 million units and N3.444 billion respectively.

Market Breadth

11 stocks closed positive against 27 that lost bringing the market breadth to a negative round off.

Percentage Gainers

NEM Insurance led other percentage gainers, closing 10.00% above the previous close of N3.00 to settle at N3.30.

Livestock Feeds grew 9.26% and Japaul Oil grew 8.00% ahead of other 9 stocks on the gainers’ chart.

 Percentage Losers

MANSARD tops the losers’ chart losing 9.80% of its share price, while International Energy Insurance and Diamond Bank shed 9.52% and 9.35% respectively.

Volume Drivers

NEM Insurance recorded total traded stock volume of about 45 million units, valued at about N540 million; UBA traded 57million units of its shares, valued at about N221 million in 227 deals.
