Stock market rebounds, grows by 0.01%, Tuesday

Trading activities on the floor of the Nigeria Stock Exchange on Tuesday closed positive as the All Share Index marginally grew by 0.01%, to close at 30,736.88 points above the previous close of 30,732.72 points on Monday

The market capitalisation also appreciated by 0.02% to settle at N11.462 trillion in contrast to N11.460 trillion of the last trading session.

Volume of traded stocks declined by 50.72% to stand at around 245 million units below 499 million units recorded on Monday.
The worth of traded stocks was also down by 55.83% settling at N2.4 million away from N5.5 billion garnered on the last trading.

Market Breadth

The day’s trading activities produced 26 gainers against 10 losers, thereby bringing the market breadth to a positive round off.

Percentage Gainers

Linkage Assurance led other percentage gainers, advancing by 9.84% in its share price to settle at N0.67 above the previous close of N0.61
Redstar Express, NAHCO and Royal Exchange all gained 9.09%, 8.39% and 7.41% respectively.

Percentage Losers

MCNICHOLS tops the losers’ chart losing 9.30% of its share price, while Sovereign Insurance and CCNN shed 8.33% and 7.06% respectively, ahead of other stocks on the red chart.

Volume Drivers

Guaranty traded about 26 million units of its shares in 226 deals, worth about N847 million
Zenith Bank also traded about 10million units of its shares, in 355 deals and valued at about N235 million.
