NSEASI declines, closes 0.31% lower, Monday

Trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Monday closed in red as the All Share Index declined by 0.31% to close at 32,440.27 points from the previous close of 32,540.17 points on Friday.

Market capitalisation declined by 0.28% to close at N11.847 trillion from the previous close of N11.858 trillion.

 

Volume and value of traded stocks declined by 63.59% and 68.75%, closing at 190.57 million units and N3.31 billion respectively.

 Market Breadth

The market breadth closed negative as 13 stocks gained while 23 stocks lost.

Percentage Gainers

Niger Insurance led other percentage gainers, gaining 9.68% to close at N0.34 from the previous close of N0.31

LASACO and Unilever grew 6.45% and 4.65% respectively ahead other stocks on the gainers’ list.

 

Percentage Losers

Livestock Feeds tops the losers’ chart losing 9.52% of its share price to close at N0.57 from the previous close of N0.63

Union Bank and Law Union & Rock Insurance shed 9.48% and 9.09% respectively among others on the losers’ chart.

Volume Drivers

  • Guaranty Trust Bank traded about 66.99 million units of its shares in 155 deals, valued at about N2.35billion
