Nigerian stock market dips further by 0.42%, Wednesday

The Nigerian stock market on Wednesday closed on a negative note as the All Share Index declines further by 0.42% to close at 27,412.13 points against the previous close of 27,527.40 points on Tuesday.

Market Capitalisation closed at N13.358 trillion, shedding N57 billion from the previous close of N13.415 trillion.

Aggregate volume of traded stocks closed at 128.96 million units, valued at N1.18 billion in 3,118 deals.

Market Breadth

The Market Breadth closed negative as 11 stocks gained while 17 stocks lost.

Percentage Gainers

AIICO Insurance with 9.37% led 10 other gainers to close at N0.70 from the previous close of N0.64

Conoil, LASACO and Honeywell Flour among other gainers also grew their share prices by 6.33%, 5.88% and 5.26% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Red Star Express, Continental Reinsurance, Jaiz Bank and Japaul Oil among other price decliners shed their share prices by 9.85%, 9.68%, 9.52% and 9.09% respectively.

Volume Drivers

First Bank of Nigeria Holdings (FBNH) traded about 30.9 million units of its shares in 197 deals, valued at about N162 million.
