The Nigerian Bourse on Wednesday closed bullish as the All Share Index grew further by 0.45% to close at 108,849.83 points from Tuesday’s close of 108,361.10 points.
Investors gained N307 billion as market capitalisation advanced to N68.412 trillion from N68.105 of the last trading session.
An aggregate of 587 million units of shares were traded in 17,496 deals, valued at N18.7 billion.
Market Breadth
The Market Breadth closed positive as 50 equities appreciated in their share prices against 16 that declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers
MEYER and UPDCREIT led other gainers with 10.00% growth each to close at N8.80 and N6.60 respectively.
BETAGLASS grew 9.98% and THE INITIATES grew 9.95% ahead of other stocks on the gainer chart.
Percentage Losers
DEAPCAP tops the losers’ chart losing 10.00% of its share price, while VERITAS KAPITAL, Linkage Assurance and African Prudential shed their share prices by 9.09%, 6.61% and 5.60% respectively.
Volume Drivers
GTCO traded about 98.6 million units of its shares were traded in 692 deals, valued at about 6.6 billion.
TANTALIZER traded about 75 million units of its shares were traded in 107 deals, valued at N175 million.
Fidelity Bank traded about 40 million units of its shares in 468 deals, valued at about N816 million.
