Nigerian Bourse sheds N66bn as ASI decline by 0.18%

It was a bearish session on the floor of the Nigerian equities market as the All Share Index declined by 0.18% to close at 67,084.95 points against the previous close of 67,206.16 points on Tuesday.

The market capitalisation closed at N36.857 trillion, down by 0.18% from N36.923 trillion recorded in the last session.

Aggregate volume of traded stock stands at 267.7 million units in 5,205 deals, valued at N5 billion.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed negative as 12 stocks gained against 29 that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

MCNICHOLS with 8.93% growth, led the gainers to close at N0.61 from the previous close of N0.56.

UACN and OANDO among other gainers also grew their share prices by 6.09% and 4.07% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Secured Electronic Technology shed 10.00% of its share price ahead of CWG, THOMASWYAT and International Breweries which dropped in share value by 9.94%, 9.84% and 9.78% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Fidelity Bank traded about 39.8 million units of its shares in 193 deals, valued at about N326.9 million.

UBA traded about 19 million units of its shares in 362 deals, valued at about N357 million.

ACCESSCORP traded about 20.6 million units of its shares in 331 deals, valued at about N347.7 million.
