Nigerian Bourse sheds N394bn as NGXASI decline by 0.66%

It was a bearish session on the floor of the Nigerian stock market as the All Share Index declined again by 0.66% to close at 98,058.07 points against the previous close of 98,708.90 points on Monday.

The market capitalisation closed at N59.418 trillion, down by 0.67% from N59.812 trillion recorded in the last session.

Aggregate volume of traded stock stands at 399 million units in 9,547 deals, valued at N8.9 billion.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed negative as 26 stocks gained against 32 that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Northern Nigeria Flourmills with 10.00% growth led the gainers to close at N37.40 from the previous close of and N34.00 respectively.

EUNISELL and THE INITIATES among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.87% and 9.81% respectively.

Percentage Loser

CADBURY shed 9.89% of its share price to top the losers’ chart, ahead of Academy Press, Royal Exchange and ARADEL which dropped in share value by 9.87%, 9.72% and 8.33% respectively.

Volume Drivers

UBA traded about 90 million units of its shares in 848 deals, valued at about N2.6 billion.

CHAMS traded about 80.6 million units of its shares in 58 deals, valued at about N162 million.

UBA traded about 31.7 million units of its shares in 1,007 deals, valued at about N1.56 billion.
