Nigerian Bourse shed N6bn, closes 0.05% lower, Monday

Trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Monday closed lower by 0.05%, as the All Share Index closed at 29,196.87 points against the previous close of 29,212.00 last week Friday.

Market capitalisation also fell by 0.05% closing at N10.973 trillion against the previous close of N10.979 trillion, thereby shedding N6 billion.

Aggregate volume of traded stocks for the day closed at 271 million units, valued at N1.39 billion in 3,814 deals.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed firm as 14 stocks gained while 14 stocks also lost.

Percentage Gainers

NEM Insurance, Courtville and Chams Plc among other gainers grew their share prices by 9.95%, 9.09%, 8.85% respectively

Percentage Losers

UAC Properties, Ikeja Hotels and Goldlink Insurance Plc among other price decliners shed 8.93%, 8.57% and 8.33% respectively.

Volume Drivers

UBA traded about 36.996 million units of its shares in 205 deals valued at N244 million.
