Cadbury led 17 other gainers as NSEASI declines marginally by 0.01%, Tuesday

Trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Tuesday was marginally down by 0.01% as the All Share Index closed at 31,038.86 points against the previous close of 31,042.32 points on Monday.

Market capitalisation today closed at N11.671 trillion, gaining about N95 billion against the previous close of N11.576 trillion. It was gathered that the rights issues of WAPCO was added to the Nigerian Bourse pushing up the market capitalisation by 0.82%.

The aggregate volume and value of traded stocks closed at 143.71 million units and N1.68 billion respectively.

 

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed negative as 18 stocks gained while 20 stocks declined in price.

Percentage Gainers

Cadbury with 9.6% growth led other gainers to close at N10.85 from the previous close of N9.90.

Consolidated Hallmark Insurance, NEM Insurance and Livestock Feeds among others also grew 7.41%, 6.33% and 5.00% of their share prices respectively.

Percentage Losers

Wema Bank, Presco Plc and University Press Plc among other price decliners shed 6.25%, 5.15% and 5.00%.

Volume Drivers

  • First Bank of Nigeria Holdings (FBNH) traded about 29.66 million units of its share in 283 deals, valued at N243.27 million.
  • Access Bank traded about 16.34 million units of its share in 266 deals, valued at N106 million
