Nigerian Bourse gains N52bn, closes 0.39% higher

Trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Wednesday closed on a positive note as the All Share Index rose by 0.39% to close at 27,153.53 points from the previous close of 27,047.58 points on Tuesday.

Market Capitalisation closed at 13.209 trillion, gaining N52 billion from the previous close of N13.158 trillion on Tuesday.

Aggregate volume of traded stocks closed at 221.52 million units, valued at N1.45 billion in 4,365 deals.

Market Breadth

Market Breadth closed positive as 19 stocks gained while 13 stocks declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

May & Baker Plc with 10% growth led other gainers to close at N2.09 from the previous close of N1.90

Union Diagnostics, UAC Properties, FCMB, Seplat and Jaiz Bank among other gainers also grew their share prices by 8.70%, 5.93%, 5.81%, 5.63% and 5.26% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Chams Plc and Livestock Feeds both led the price decliners, shedding 7.69% of their share prices to close at N0.24 and N0.36.

Volume Drivers

Access Bank traded about 29.95 million units of its shares in 520 deals, valued at N208.42 million.
