Nigerian stock market on Tuesday plunged by 1.66% as 41 stocks led by Honeywell Flour shed weight

The All Share Index closed at 103,622.09 points from the previous close of 105,367.25 points.

The Market Capitalisation declined by 1.65% to close at N63.189 trillion from the previous close of N64.252 trillion, thereby shedding N1.063 trillion.

An aggregate of 511 million units of shares were traded in 13,052 deals, valued at N12.8 billion.

The Market Breadth closed positive as 34 equities emerged as gainers against 20 equities that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Northern Nigeran Flourmills led other gainers with 10.00% growth to close at N45.10 from the previous close of N41.00.

Livestock Feeds and Academy press among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.91% and 9.90% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Honeywell Flour led other price decliners as it shed 10.00% of its share price to close at N9.54 from the previous close of N10.60.

Dangote Cement and Julius Berger among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 9.98% and 9.98% respectively.

Volume Drivers

GTCO traded about 54 million units of its shares in 275 deals, valued at N3 billion.

Nigerian Breweries traded about 32 million units of its shares in 101 deals, valued at N1 billion.
