The Nigerian stock market on Wednesday closed higher as the All Share Index rose by 0.40% to settle at 98,174.99 points from the previous close of 97,702.56 points.
The Market Capitalisation was up by 0.48% to close at N59.512 trillion from the previous close of N59.266 trillion, thereby gaining N286 billion.
An aggregate of 521.9 million units of shares were traded in 9,420 deals, valued at N19.9 billion.
The Market Breadth closed positive as 42 equities appreciated in their share prices against 21 equities that declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers
Golden Breweries and THOMASWYAT led other gainers with 9.83% growth to close at N4.47 from the previous close of N4.07
FTN COCOA, DEAPCAP and Nem Insurance among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.50%, 9.43% and 9.30% respectively.
Percentage Losers
Sunu Assurance and Learnafrica led price decliners’ table as they shed 9.85% each of their share prices to close at N4.21 and N2.93 from the previous close of N4.67 and N3.25.
HMCALL and PZ among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 9.15% and 8.71% respectively.
Volume Drivers
TANTALIZER traded about 88 million units of its shares in 67 deals, valued at about N108 million.
WAPCO traded about 57 million units of its shares in 1,366 deals, valued at N4.2 billion.
ACCESSCORP traded about 41 million units of its shares in 412 deals, valued at about N986.5 million.
