Transactions on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange on Thursday closed on a negative note as the All Share Index declined marginally by 0.01% to close at 44,604.74 points from the previous close of 44,608.82 points.
The Market Capitalisation was down by 0.01%, closing at N24.032 trillion from the previous close of N24.034 trillion, thereby shedding N2 billion.
An aggregate of 321.75 million units of shares were traded in 4,565 deals, valued at N3.655 billion.
The Market Breadth closed negative as 14 equities emerged as gainers against 15 equities that declined in their share prices.
Transcorp led other gainers with 9.71% growth, closing at N1.13 from the previous close of N1.03
Consolidated Hallmark Insurance and Regency Assurance among other gainers also grew their share prices by 7.94% and 7.14% respectively.
NEM Insurance led other price decliners as it shed 10% of its share price to close at N3.96 from the previous close of N4.40.
Custodian Investment and UACN among other prices decliners also shed their share prices by 9.49% and 5.21% respectively.
Transcorp traded about 104.58 million units of its shares in 396 deals, valued at N115.22 million.
Jaiz Bank traded about 66.71 million units of its shares in 193 deals, valued at N45.05 million.
Mutual Benefit Assurance traded about 13.75 million units of its shares in 45 deals, valued at N3.75 million.
