The All Share Index depreciated by 0.19% to close at 42,167.91 points from the previous close of 42,247.98 points.
The Market Capitalisation declined by 0.19% to close at N22.003 trillion from the previous close of N22.045 trillion, thereby shedding N42 billion.
An aggregate of 180.95 million units of shares were traded in 4,019 deals, valued at N2.43 billion.
The Market Breadth closed negative as 13 equities emerged as gainers against 18 equities that declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers
UPDC led other gainers with 10% growth to close at N0.99 from the previous close of N0.90.
Linkage Assurance and NEM Insurance among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.80% and 9.76% respectively.
Percentage Losers
FTN Cocoa led other price decliners as it shed 7.89% of its share price to close at N0.35 from the previous close of N0.38.
Consolidated Hallmark Insurance and Champion Breweries among other price decliners also shed 6.38% and 5.88% of their share prices respectively.
Volume Drivers
GTCO traded about 959 million units of its shares in 357 deals, valued at N581.57 million.
Mutual Benefit Assurance traded about 20.174 million units of its shares in 43 deals, valued at N4.95 million.
Access Bank traded about 18.722 million units of its shares in 120 deals, valued at N168.32 million.
