Julius Berger announces board changes

Julius Berger Nigeria Plc has notified the Nigerian Exchange Limited and the Market that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting on December 8, 2021, resolved to execute the following Directorate and organizational changes:

  • Reassignment of Mr. Martin Brack to Julius Berger International GmbH as the Chief Financial Officer with effect from January 1, 2022. Consequently, the resignation of Mr. Martin Brack as Director from the Board of Directors of the Company, with effect from December 31, 2021;
  • Reassignment of Mr. Christian Hausemann to Julius Berger as the Financial Director with effect from January 1, 2022. Consequently, Mr. Christian Hausemann was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Company as Director and the Financial Director with effect from January 1, 2022;
  • Acceptance of the resignation of Mr. Karsten Hansel as a Director of the Company with effect from December 31, 2021.

Christian Hausemann is a German national and holds the equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management from the SLS Business School, Erfurt, Germany. He joined Bilfinger Berger in the year 1994 as Commercial Project Manager and thereafter held various positions in Australia and Nigeria culminating in his appointment as the Chief Financial Officer of Julius Berger International GmbH in October 2018. He was reassigned to Julius Berger Nigeria Plc and appointed to the Board of the Julius Berger Nigeria Plc with effect from January 1, 2021 as the Financial Director.
