Investors gain N56bn as NGXASI grows by 0.20%

The Nigerian equity market on Monday grew further as the All Share Index appreciated by 0.20% to settle at 52,319.94 points from the previous close of 52,215.12 points.

Investors gained N56 billion as the Market Capitalisation was up by 0.20% to close at N28.214 trillion from the previous close of N28.158 trillion.

An aggregate of 116 million units of shares were traded in 4,525 deals, valued at N3.46 billion.

The Market Breadth closed negative as 16 equities appreciated in their share prices against 22 equities that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

SEPLAT led the gainers with 10.00% growth to close at N1,430.50 from the previous close of N1,300.50.

Cornerstone Insurance, RT BRISCOE and Wema Bank among other gainers also grew their share prices by 8.77%, 8.11% and 6.95% respectively.

Percentage Losers

CWG led price decliners’ table as it shed 10.00% of its share price to close at N0.81 from the previous close of N0.90.

Academy Press, Honeywell Flour and NAHCO among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 9.50%, 9.09% and 8.81% respectively.

Volume Drivers

UBA traded about 12.9 million units of its shares in 199 deals, valued at about N96.9 million.

Zenith Bank traded about 10.7 million units of its shares in 380 deals, valued at about N235.7 million.

FBNH traded about 8 million units of its shares in 165 deals, valued at N88.7 million.
