Investors gain N30bn as stock market advances by 0.14%

The Nigerian stock market on Friday closed on a positive note as the All Share Index appreciated by 0.14% to close at 41,763.26 points from the previous close of 41,704.11 points.  

Investors gained N30 billion as the Market Capitalisation appreciated by 0.14% to close at N21.794 trillion from the previous close of N21.764 trillion.

An aggregate of 510.186 million units of shares were traded in 5,485 deals, valued at N5.87 billion.

The Market Breadth closed positive as 23 equities emerged as gainers against 19 equities that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Cutix Plc led other gainers with 10% growth to close at N6.05 from the previous close of N5.50.

Unilever, ABC Transport and PZ among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.85%, 9.68% and 9.26% respectively.

Percentage Losers

NEM Insurance led other price decliners as it sheds 8.57% of its share price to close at N1.92 from the previous close of N2.10.

Ikeja Hotel and NGX Group among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 7.83% and 6.58% respectively.  

Volume Drivers

FBNH traded about 154.4 million units of its shares in 667 deals, valued at N1.91 billion.

Ecobank traded about 56.09 million units of its shares in 247 deals, valued at N421.53 million.

Transcorp traded about 31.95 million units of its shares in 160 deals, valued at N32.32 million.
