Data obtained from the Debt Management office revealed that the September Bond issued by the Federal Government of Nigeria was oversubscribed by 148.43%. The September bond valued at N145 billion got a total subscription of N360.22 billion which implies an oversubscription of N215.22 billion.
The following bonds were issued by the Federal Government for the month of September.
- 12.5 per cent FGN January 2026 bonds
- 12.5 FGN March 2035 bonds
- 9.8 per cent FGN July 2045 bonds
- 12.98 per cent FGN March 2050 bonds
Successful bids for the 12.5% FGN JAN 2026, 12.5% FGN MAR 2035, 9.8% FGN JUL 2045 and 12.98% FGN MAR 2050 were allotted at the marginal rates of 6%, 8.52%, 8.9% and 8.94%, respectively.
However, the original coupon rates of 12.5% for the FGN JAN 2026 bond, 12.5% for the FGN MAR 2035 bond, 9.8% for the FGN JUL 2045 bond and 12.98% for the FGN MAR 2050 bond will be maintained.
