Consolidated Hallmark Insurance led 17 other gainers despite market decline of 0.03%, Monday

Trading Activities on the floor of Nigerian Stock Exchange on Monday closed in red, as the All Share Index declined by 0.03% to close at 34,837.50 points against 34,848.45 points of the Friday’s trading session.

Market capitalization likewise, dropped by 0.03% to stand at N12.718 trillion below N12.722 trillion of the last trading, indicating a loss of N4 billion.

Volume and value of traded stocks also dipped by 65.83% and 68.02%, arriving   at 131.5 million units and N3.1 billion respectively.

 

Market Breadth

18 stocks closed positive against 19 that closed negative, bringing the market breadth to a negative round off.

Percentage Gainers

Consolidated Hallmark Insurance led other percentage gainers closing 10.00% above the previous close of N0.30 to settle at N0.33

AIICO Insurance grew 9.76%, Continental Reinsurance and NPF Microfinance Bank gained 9.49% and 8.97% of their share prices ahead of other stocks on the gainers’ chart

Percentage Losers

Jaiz Bank tops the losers’ chart losing 10.00% of its share price. This is followed by Flour Mills, Transnational Corporation and Prestige Assurance all shedding 9.67%, 7.94% and 7.69% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Nigerian Breweries traded the highest volume of about 19 million units of its shares in 94 deals, worth about N1.8 billion.

STANBIC traded about 11.8 million units of its shares, valued at about N556.6 Million.
