Investors gained N27bn as the Market Capitalisation grew by 0.13% to close at N20.126 trillion from the previous close of N20.099 trillion.
An aggregate of 160.44 million units of shares were traded in 3,260 deals, valued at N1.395 billion.
The Market Breadth closed positive as 18 equities appreciated in their share prices against 8 equities that declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers
- Champion Breweries led other gainers with 10% growth to close at N1.98 from the previous close of N1.8.
- Coronation Insurance, LASACO and Berger Paints among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.43%, 7.91% and 7.69% respectively.
Percentage Losers
- Consolidated Hallmark Insurance led other price decliners as it shed 8.96% of its share price to close at N0.61 from the previous close of N0.67.
- Unity Bank and Sterling Bank among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 3.51% and 1.91% respectively.
Volume Drivers
- Wema Bank traded about 27.24 million units of its shares in 118 deals, valued at N15 million.
- Mutual Benefit Assurance traded about 21.39 million units of its shares in 98 deals, valued at N10.51 million.
