Stock market declines marginally by 0.02%

Wednesday’s trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian stock market closed bearish as the All Share Index marginally declined by 0.02% to close at 67,206.77 points from the previous close of 67,217.77 points.

The Market Capitalisation declined by 0.02% to close at N36.923 trillion from the previous close of N26.930 trillion, thereby shedding N7 billion.

An aggregate of 329.7 million units of shares were traded in 5,998 deals, valued at about N4.4 billion.

The Market Breadth closed positive as 23 equities emerged as gainers against 18 equities that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

MULTIVERSE led other gainers with 9.74% growth to close at N2.93 from the previous close of 2.67.

CHAMS, CAVERTON and FTN Cocoa among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.71%, 9.35% and 8.97% respectively.

Percentage Losers

ETRANZACT and Sunu Assurance led other price decliners as they shed 10.00% each to close at N7.56 and N0.99 respectively.

DEAPCAP and ETERNA OIL among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 7.41% and 7.09% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Fidelity Bank traded about 50 million units of its shares in 200 deals, valued at N411.7 million.

ACCESSCORP traded about 43 million units of its shares in 369 deals, valued at N730 million.

UBA traded about 25.8 million units of its shares in 546 deals, valued at N502 million.
