The Bull sustained dominance on the floor of the Nigerian stock market on Thursday as the All Share Index (ASI) grew further by 0.73% to settle at 50,300.00 points from the previous close of 49,934.60 points on Wednesday.
Market capitalization advanced by 0.73% to close at N27.397 trillion from the previous close of N27.198 trillion, gaining N199 billion.
An aggregate of 490.5 million units of shares were traded in 4,480 deals, valued at N7.7 billion.
Market Breadth
The market breadth closed positive as 37 equities appreciated in their share prices against 9 equities that declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers
NESTLE and GEREGU led other gainers with 10.00% growth each to close at N1100.00 and N139.70 from Wednesday’s close of N1000 and N127.00 respectively.
MCNICHOLS, CWG and Royal Exchange among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.62%, 9.52% and 9.35% respectively.
Percentage Losers
Livestock feeds led price decliners’ chart as it shed 8.40% of its share price to close at N1.09 from the previous close of N1.19.
FBNH, VITAFOAM and UNILEVER among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 6.36%, 5.92% and 2.54% respectively.
Volume Drivers
FBNH traded about 78.9 million units of its shares in 99 deals, valued at N891.7 million.
GTCO traded about 38.5 million units of its shares in 525 deals, valued at N922.6 million.
Zenith Bank traded about 19.6 million units of its shares in 395 deals, valued at N486.6 million.
