The Nigerian stock market on Monday closed higher as the All Share Index appreciated by 0.14% to settle at 47,394.53 points from the previous close of 47,328.42 points.
The Market Capitalisation was up by 0.14% to close at N25.543 trillion from the previous close of N25.507 trillion, thereby gaining N36 billion.
An aggregate of 300.7 million units of shares were traded in 5,434 deals, valued at N2.771 billion.
The Market Breadth closed positive as 23 equities appreciated in their share prices against 15 equities that declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers
Linkage Assurance led other gainers with 10.00% growth to close at N0.55 from the previous close of N0.50.
Royal Exchange, Regency Assurance and Sunu Assurance among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.60%, 7.69% and 7.69% respectively.
Percentage Losers
Academy Press led the price decliners’ table as it shed 9.69% of its share price to close at N1.77 from the previous close of N1.96.
RTBRISCOE, Jaiz Bank and VITAFOAM among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 9.57%, 5.19% and 4.90% respectively.
Volume Drivers
FCMB traded about 104 million units of its shares in 56 deals, valued at about N323.6 million.
TRANSCORP traded about 17 million units of its shares in 140 deals, valued at N20.8 million.
Access Bank traded about 15.5 million units of its shares in 390 deals, valued at N419 million.
