The Nigerian Exchange on Tuesday closed on a bullish note, occasioned by gains in the share prices of BUA Foods and BUA Cement by 4.21% and 2% respectively.
The All Share Index appreciated by 0.58% to close at 44,655.89 points from the previous close of 44,399.66 points.
Investors gained N138 billion as the Market Capitalisation appreciated by 0.58% to close at N24.060 trillion from the previous close of N24.922 trillion.
An aggregate of 235.23 million units of shares were traded in 4,151 deals, valued at N1.92 billion.
The Market Breadth closed positive as 27 equities appreciated in their share prices against 13 equities that declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers
Skyway Aviation led other gainers with 10% growth to close at N5.83 from the previous close of N5.30.
Courteville and FTN Cocoa among other gainers also grew their share prices by 8.57% and 8.33% respectively.
Percentage Losers
NEM Insurance led other price decliners as it shed 8.33% of its share price to close at N3.63 from the previous close of N3.96.
Sunu Assurance and Regency Assurance among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 5.88% and 4.26% respectively.
Volume Drivers
Transcorp traded about 38.1 million units of its shares in 174 deals, valued at about N40.126 million.
GTCO traded about 18.73 million units of its shares in 491 deal, valued at N476.49 million.
Jaiz Bank traded about 14.99 million units of its shares in 76 deals, valued at N9.82 million.
