FBNH leads gainers as stock market advances by 0.12%, investors gain N25bn

The stock market on Wednesday closed on a bullish note as the All Share Index appreciated by 0.12% to close at 40,765.2 points from the previous close of 40,716.66 points.

Investors gained N25 billion as Market Capitalisation grew by 0.12% to close at N21.242 trillion from the previous close of N21.217 trillion.

An aggregate of 400.65 million units of shares were traded in 5,145 deals, valued at N3.479 billion.

The Market Breadth closed negative as 19 equities emerged as gainers against 20 equities that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

First Bank of Nigeria Holdings (FBNH) led other gainers with 7.78% growth to close at N9.70 from the previous close of N9.

University Press, Northern Nigeria Flour Mills and Livestock Feeds among other gainers also grew their share prices by 7.38%, 6.49% and 5.38%.

Percentage Losers

Pharmadeko led other price decliners as it sheds 6.01% of its share price to close at N2.66 from the previous close of N2.83.

ABC Transport and Regency Assurance among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 5.71% and 4.88% respectively.

Volume Drivers

FBNH traded about 108.74 million units of its shares in 519 deals, valued at N1.07 billion.

Transcorp traded about 39.68 million units of its shares in 150 deals, valued at N38.38 million.

Ecobank traded about 32.78 million units of its shares in 100 deals, valued at N189.91 million.
