The Nigerian equities market on Thursday closed on a negative note as the All Share Index declined by 0.05% to settle at 27,864.84 points from the previous close of 27,878.43 points.
The market capitalisation declined by 0.05% to N14.513 trillion from the previous close of N14.520 trillion, thereby shedding N7 billion.
Aggregate volume of traded stocks at the close of trade was 150.7 million units, down by 1.10% from the previous close of 152 million units.
Value of traded stocks grew by 14.21%, to close at N2.78 billion from the previous close of N2.4 billion.
Total number of deals at the close of trade was 3,198, down by 9.12% from the previous close of 3,519 deals.
Market Breadth
The Market Breadth closed as 13 stocks gained while 15 stocks declined share prices.
Percentage Gainers
United Capital led other percentage gainers closing at 10% above the previous close of N2.60 to settle at N2.86.
Learn Africa, Wapic Insurance and Livestock Feeds among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.73%, 9.09% and 8.33% respectively.
Percentage Losers
Law Union & Rocks Insurance led other price decliners, shedding 9.84% of its share price to close at N1.10 form the previous close of N1.22.
Japaul Oil, NEM Insurance and AIICO Insurance among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 8.33%, 7.27% and 5.88% respectively.

Zenith Bank traded about 25.41 million units of its shares in 455 deals, valued at N502.4 million.
Flourmills of Nigeria traded about 25.06 million units of its shares in 66 deals, valued at N574.5 million.
