Transactions on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange on Friday closed lower as the All Share Index declined by 0.01% to close at 51,557.41 points from the previous close of 51,563.73 points.
The Market Capitalisation declined by 0.01% to close at N27.803 trillion from the previous close of N27.807 trillion, thereby shedding N4 billion.
An aggregate of 115 million units of shares were traded in 3,479 deals, valued at N1.779 billion.
The Market Breadth closed positive as 13 equities emerged as gainers against 12 equities that declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers
CAVERTON led other gainers chart with 9.91% growth, closing at N1.22 from the previous close N1.11.
ACADEMY PRESS and NEIMETH among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.88% and 9.40% respectively.
Percentage Losers
NAHCO led other price decliners as it sheds 7.31% of its share price to close at N8.62 from the previous close of N9.30.
Cornerstone Insurance and Consolidated Hallmark Insurance among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 5.48% and 4.00% respectively.
Volume Drivers
GTCO traded about 18 million units of its shares in 425 deals, valued at N364 million.
UBA traded about 14 million units of its shares in 147 deals, valued at N107.8 million.
Zenith Bank traded about 8 million units of its shares in 293 deals, valued at N183.6 million.
