Unity Bank led 15 other gainers despite, market drop of 0.14%, Wednesday

The Nigerian Bourse on Wednesday declined from the previous trading session as the All Share Index fell by 0.14% to close at 32,108.92 points against 32,152.90 points of the last trading session.

Market capitalisation dipped by 0.14% to settle at N11.722 trillion against N11.738 trillion recorded on Tuesday, indicating a loss of N16 billion.

Volume of traded stocks dropped by 42.65% while the value appreciated by11.40%, to arrive at 229 million units and N2.4 billion respectively.

Market Breadth

16 stocks closed positive against 15 that closed negative, bringing the market breadth to a positive round off.

Percentage Gainers

Unity Bank tops the percentage gainers’ chart, closing 8.97% above the previous close of N0.78 to settle at N0.85

Honeywell Flour grew 6.00%, LAWUNION and Regency Alliance gained 5.77% and 5.00% of their share prices ahead of other stocks on the chart

Percentage Losers

Diamond Bank tops the losers’ chart, after losing 9.52% of its share price for the day. Also on the red chart are Eterna Oil, Jaiz Bank, Linkage Assurance, and NPF Micro-finance Bank all shedding above 8% of their share prices at the close of the day’s trading.

Volume Drivers

FBNH traded the highest volume of about 72 million units of its shares in 327 deals, valued at about N541 million

Zenith Bank traded about 20 million units of its shares in 244 deals, worth about N497 million.
