United Capital Plc declares 90 kobo interim dividend, 2 for 1 bonus to shareholders in Q2 2024

  • Grew profit after tax by 65%

United Capital Plc (UCAP) on Wednesday published its Second Quarter report for the period ended 30 June 2024. The result shows significant growth in the Company’s topline and bottom line figures.

The Group reported Gross Earnings of N15.148 billion for the 6 months period, up by 37.53% from N11.014 billion reported the previous year.

Profit after tax of N7.737 billion was reported for the 6 months period, up by 64.99% from N4.689 billion reported the previous year.

Earnings per share (EPS) of UCAP stands at N1.29, up by 64.99% from the EPS of N0.78 achieved he previous year.

At the share price of N36.30, the P/E ratio of UCAP stands at 28.15x with earnings yield of 3.55%.

The Directors of the Company proposed a dividend of 90 kobo per 50 kobo ordinary share, subject to appropriate withholding tax and approval will be paid to shareholders whose names appear in the Register of Members as at the close of business on July 31, 2024.

The Register of Shareholders will be closed from August 1, 2024 to August 7, 2024 (both dates inclusive).

On August 9, 2024, dividends will be paid electronically to shareholders whose names appear on the Register of Members as at July 31, 2024, and who have completed the e-dividend registration and mandated the Registrar to pay their dividends directly into their Bank accounts.
