Transcorp Power Plc appoints Christopher Ezeafulukwe as Non-Executive Director

Transcorp Power Plc has notified the Nigerian Exchange and the investing public that the Board of Directors of the Company has proposed to appoint Mr. Christopher Ezeafulukwe as a Non-Executive Director, subject to the approval of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission.

Mr. Ezeafulukwe is a distinguished professional with over 20 years’ executive management experience garnered from various sectors, including power, oil and gas, financial services, legal services and governance.

He is currently the MD/CEO of Transcorp Energy Limited. Prior to assuming this role, he was the MD/CEO of Abuja Electricity Distribution Plc. Mr. Ezeafulukwe also served as the MD/CEO of Transcorp Power Limited (now Transcorp Power Plc) and Executive Director, Legal and Business Development at Transnational Corporation Plc.

He holds an LL. B. degree from the University of Lagos; a B.L from the Nigerian Law School; an LL. M from the University of Lagos; a second LL.M in Energy, Environmental & Natural Resources Law from the University of Houston, Texas. He is an alumnus of the Lagos Business School and IESE Business School, Barcelona, Spain.

He is a member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators, Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN), and a past member of the Executive Council of the Association of Power Generation Companies.
