Trading remains upbeat on NGX as ASI closes 0.15% higher

Activities on the floor of Nigerian Stock Market on Friday remained upbeat for the 4th consecutive sessions, with the All Share Index appreciating by 0.15% to settle at 45,957.35 points compared to 45,890.52 points recorded on Thursday.

The market capitalisation grew by N36 billion to close at N24.761 trillion, from N24.725 trillion recorded in the previous session.

Aggregate volume and value of traded stocks settled at 281.586 million units and N2.4 billion in 3,739 deals. 

Market Breadth

Market Breadth closed positive as 21 stocks gained in their share prices against 14 stocks that declined at the end of the day’s trading

Percentage Gainers

NNFM led the gainers chart with 9.72% growth to close at N7.90 from the previous close of N7.20

COURTVILLE, VITAFOAM and FTNCOCOA also gained above 17 other stocks by 9.52%, 5.46% and 5.41% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Regency Alliance tops the price decliners’ list, shedding 4.55% of its share price to close at N0.42 from N0.44.

Still on the red table are; Sovereign Trust Insurance, Sunu Assurance and Honeywell flour, all shedding 4.00%, 3.13% and 3.03% respectively, ahead of other price decliners.

Volume Drivers

Transcorp traded about 36 million units of its shares in 118 deals, valued at about N38 million.

Access Bank traded about 22 million units of its shares in 191 deals, valued at N216.8 million.
