The Nigerian stock market last week closed on a bullish note with 0.71% following 2.57% growth in the previous week. Year to date, the market has returned 12.15%.
The All Share Index and Market Capitalisation at the close of the week stood at115,429.54 points and N72.788 trillion respectively.
An aggregate of 2 billion units of shares in 65,016 deals, valued at N51 billion.
The market breadth closed positive as 55 equities emerged as gainers while 39 equities declined in their share prices.
TOP 10 GAINERS
Legend Internet led 54 other gainers in the course of last week as it gained 32.77% to close at N7.09 from the previous close of N5.34.
Berger Paints, ELLAHLAKES, OANDO and FIDSON grew their share prices by 30.73%, 27.35%, 21.37% and 20.75% respectively.
Others among top 10 gainers include: FTN COCOA 16.67%, CAVERTON 15.48%, CUSTIDIAN 13.18%, May & Baker 11.59% and CADBURY 10.81% respectively.
TOP 10 LOSERS
JOHNHOLT led other price decliners as it shed 18.42% of its share price to close at N6.20 from the previous close of N7.60.
IMG, RTBRISCOE, Northern Nigeria Flourmills and CONIOL among other price decliners shed their share prices by 12.16%, 10.00%, 10.00% and 9.99% respectively.
Others among top 10 price decliners include: ENAWELWA (9.98%), DEAPCAP (9.18%), ARADEL (9.09%), NCR (7.09%) and FVDGROUP (6.90%) respectively.
