The Nigerian stock market on Monday closed on a bullish note as the All Share Index appreciated by 0.47% to settle at 38,849.08 points from the previous close of 38,667.90 points.
Investors gained N94 billion as the Market Capitalisation grew by 0.47% to close at N20.241 trillion from the previous close of N20.147 trillion.
An aggregate of 246.56 million units of shares were traded in 4,676 deals, valued at N2.24 billion.
The Market Breadth closed positive as 29 equities appreciated in their share prices against 16 equities that declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers
Oando led other gainers with 9.82% growth, closing at N4.36 from the previous close of N3.97.
FTN Cocoa, Ardova and BOC Gases among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.76%, 9.75% and 9.74% respectively.
Percentage Losers
Universal Insurance led other price decliners as it shed 9.09% of its share price to close at N0.20 from the previous close of N0.22.
Linkage Assurance, Sovereign Trust Insurance and Africa Prudential Plc among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 7.14%, 6.90 and 6.52% respectively.
Volume Drivers
Fidelity Bank traded about 30.54 million units of its shares in 132 deals, valued at N73.766 million.
Access Bank traded about 14.71 million units of its shares in 238 deals valued at N136.72 million.
UBA traded about 13.84 million units of its shares in 210 deals, valued at N108.646 million.
