The Nigerian stock market on Tuesday closed on a bullish note as the All Share Index appreciated by 0.86%, closing at 55,806.26 points from the previous close of 55,328.42 points.
Investors gained N261 billion as the Market Capitalisation grew by 0.87% to close at N30.401 trillion from the previous close of N30.140 trillion.
An aggregate of 237 million units of shares were traded in 4,435 deals, valued at N4.39 billion.
The Market Breadth closed positive as 36 equities emerged as gainers against 10 equities that declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers
MRS led other gainers with 10% growth, closing at N36.85 from the previous close of N33.50
STANBIC IBTC, C & I Leasing, MCNICHOLS and Oando among other gainers also grew their share prices by over 9.00% each.
Percentage Losers
MULTIVERSE led other price decliners as it shed 10.00% of its share price to close at N3.96 from the previous close of N4.40.
CWG and Flourmills of Nigeria among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 9.09% and 8.44% respectively.
Volume Drivers
Fidelity Bank traded about 40 million units of its shares in 223 deals, valued at about N202 million.
Zenith Bank traded about 34 million units of its shares in 350 deals, valued at about N907.5 million.
Oando traded about 22.6 million units of its shares in 328 deals, valued at N109 million.
