The Nigerian stock market on Thursday closed on a bearish note as the All Share Index depreciated by 0.15% to close at 38,911.31 points from the previous close of 38,968.34 points.
The Market Capitalisation declined by 0.15% to close at N20.273 trillion from the previous close of N20.303 trillion, thereby shedding N30 billion.
An aggregate of 130.2 million units of shares were traded in 2,962 deals, valued at N1.43 billion.
The Market Breadth closed negative as 10 equities appreciated in their share prices against 17 equities that declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers
Unity Bank led other gainers with 9.62% growth, closing at N0.57 from the previous close of N0.52.
FTN Cocoa and Cornerstone Insurance among other gainers also grew their share prices by 8.70% and 8.33% respectively.
Percentage Losers
Eterna Plc led other price decliners as it shed 9.44% of its share price, closing at N6.52 from the previous close of N7.20.
SCOA and International Breweries among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 9.40% and 4.00% respectively.
Volume Drivers
Access Bank traded about 24.78 million units of its shares in 240 deals, valued at N230.26 million.
Universal Insurance traded about 15.27 million units of its shares in 13 deals valued at N3.05 million.
Zenith Bank traded about 8.49 million units of its shares in 215 deals, valued at N200.67 million.
