The Nigerian stock market on Wednesday closed higher as the All Share Index rose by 0.12% to close at 153,539.83 points from the previous close of 153,354.13 points.
The Market Capitalisation appreciated by 0.12% to close at N97.890 trillion from the previous close of N97.772 trillion, thereby adding N118 billion.

An aggregate of 1.7 billion units of shares were traded in 19,372 deals, valued at N30 billion.
The Market Breadth closed positive as 36 equities emerged as gainers against 22 equities that declined in their share prices.

GUINNESS led other gainers with 9.98% growth to close at N318.60 from the previous close of 289.70
ASTINLAZ, International Breweries and Transcorp Hotel among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.97%, 9.85% and 9.83% respectively.
Percentage Losers

Legend International led other price decliners as it shed 9.26% of its share price to close at N9.40 from the previous close of N5.40.
MANSARD and Jaiz Bank among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 7.14% and 5.45% respectively.

Sterling Bank traded about 127 million units of its shares in 192 deals, valued at N895.9 million.
