Stock market rebounds with 0.07% growth, investors gain N14bn

The stock market on Tuesday closed on a bullish note as the All Share Index appreciated by 0.07% to close at 39,460.68points from the previous close of 39,434.69 points.

Investors gained N14 billion as the Market Capitalisation appreciated by 0.07% to close at N20.560 trillion from the previous close of N20.546 trillion.

An aggregate of 196.81 million units of shares were traded in 3,881 deals, valued at N1.45 billion.

The Market Breadth negative as 17 equities appreciated in their share prices against 18 equities that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Morison Industries led other gainers with 10% growth, closing at N1.54 from the previous close of N1.40.

Regency Assurance, Tripple Gee and Consolidated Hallmark Insurance among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.52%, 9.09% and 8.51% respectively.

Percentage Losers

FTN Cocoa led other price decliners as it shed 9.09% of its share price, closing at N0.40 from the previous close of N0.44.

Courtville and Sovereign Trust Insurance among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 8.82% and 8.00% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Courtville traded about 22.4 million units of its shares in 105 deals, valued at N7.33 million.

Sovereign Trust Insurance traded about 21.31 million units of its shares in 45 deals valued at N5.07 million.

Wema Bank traded about 16.94 million units of its shares in 110 deals, valued at N14.59 million.
