Trading activities on the floor of the Nigeria Stock Exchange on Thursday were upbeat as the All Share Index grew by 0.31% closing at 40,875.69 points, gaining 125.83 points against the previous close of 40,749.86 points on Wednesday
As a result, investors gained about N45 billion as market capitalization grew by 0.31% to settle at N14.765 trillion as against N14.720 trillion of the last trading session.
Volume and value of traded stocks also grew by 23.47% and 13.35% to settle at 495.6 million units and N7.7 billion respectively.
Market Breadth
The market breadth closed balanced as 21 stocks gained while 22 lost.
Percentage Gainers
Prestige Assurance led other percentage gainers closing 9.30% above the previous close of N0.43, to settle at N0.47
LASACO grew 5.56% and Transcorp grew 4.85% ahead other stocks like May& Baker, Eterna and Fidelity Bank.
Percentage Losers
GSK tops the losers’ chart losing 9.61% of its share price, while Jaiz Bank and Japaul Oil both shed 8.11% and 7.55% respectively.
Guaranty Trust Bank is the most actively traded stock, trading about 62million units of its shares in 402 deals, worth about N2.8 billion
