The Nigerian Exchange on Monday opens the trading week on a bullish note, consolidating on the gain of 0.08% recorded last Friday as The All Share Index rose by 0.20% to close at 47,233.91 points from the previous close of 47,140.48 points.
Investors gained N51bn as the Market Capitalisation grew by 0.20% to close at N25.457 trillion from the previous close of N25.406 trillion.
At the close of trade today, an aggregate of 421 million units of shares were traded in 5,961 deals, valued at N4.2 billion.
The Market Breadth closed positive as 31 equities emerged as gainers while 17 equities declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers
RTBRISCOE and UCAP Plc led other gainers with 10.00% growth each, to close at N0.66 and N13.20 from the previous close of N0.60 and N12.00 respectively.
Africa Prudential, Academy Press, Champion Breweries and May & Baker above other gainers also grew their share prices by over 8.00%.
Percentage Losers
JULI led other price decliners as it shed 9.76% of its share price to close at N0.74 from the previous close of N0.82
MULTIVERSE and Mutual Benefits among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 8.00% and 7.14% respectively
Volume Drivers
TRANSCORP traded about 99 million units of its share in 296 deals, valued at N118.5 million.
Zenith Bank traded 46.3 million units of its shares in 353 deals, valued at N1.2 billion.
UCAP traded about 32 million units of its shares in 185 deals, valued at N416.8 million.
