Stock market rises by 0.56%

Nigerian stock market on Wednesday closed bullish as The All Share Index rose by 0.56% to close at 114,659.11 points from the previous close of 114,017.48 points.

The Market Capitalisation grew by 0.56% to close at N72.302 trillion from the previous close of N71.900 trillion, thereby gaining N402 billion.

An aggregate of 471 million units of shares were traded in 20,538 deals, valued at N14.19 billion.

The Market Breadth closed positive as 31 equities emerged as gainers against 28 equities that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

ABC Transport and BETAGLASS led other gainers with 10.00% growth each to close at N2.64 and N231.10 from the previous close of N2.40 and N210.10 respectively.

Berger Paints, FIDSON and Legend Internet among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.98%, 9.91% and 9.88% respectively.

Percentage Losers

ABBEYBUILDING led other price decliners as it shed 7.50% of its share price to close at N5.55 from the previous close of N6.00.

NCR and VITALFOAM among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 7.09% and 6.64% respectively.

Volume Drivers

FCMB traded about 40 million units of its shares in 365 deals, valued at N410 million.

UBA traded about 37 million units of its shares in 1,067 deals, valued at N1.3 billion.

ACCESSCORP traded about 35 million units of its shares in 1,362 deals, valued at N789 million.
