Nigerian stock market on Monday declined as 23 stocks led by Eterna Oil shed weights
The All Share Index dropped by 0.44% to close at 65,036.37 points from the previous close of 65,325.37 points.
The Market Capitalisation declined by 0.44% to close at N35.415 trillion from the previous close of N35.572 trillion, thereby shedding N157 billion.
An aggregate of 259 million units of shares were traded in 5,899 deals, valued at N4.2 billion.
The Market Breadth closed negative as 22 equities emerged as gainers against 23 equities that declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers
Cornerstone Insurance led other gainers with 9.32% growth to close at N1.29 from the previous close of 1.18.
OMATEK, THE INITIATES and CHAMS among other gainers also grew their share prices by 8.82%, 8.51% and 7.37% respectively.
Percentage Losers
Eterna Oil led other price decliners as it shed 9.90% of its share price to close at N17.75 from the previous close of N19.70.
Sunu Assurance, University Press and FTN Cocoa among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 9.57%, 9.24% and 8.44% respectively.
Volume Drivers
TRANSCORP traded about 41.8 million units of its shares in 374 deals, valued at N167.9 million.
ACCESSCORP traded about 18.155 million units of its shares in 324 deals, valued at N312.7 million.
GTCO traded about 15.6 million units of its shares in 297 deals, valued at N585 million.
