Stock market declines by 0.35% amidst profit taking

Nigerian stock market on Wednesday declined admits profit taking in 33 stocks,

The All Share Index dropped by 0.35% to close at 96,537.48 points from the previous close of 96,873.74 points.

The Market Capitalisation declined by N193 billion to close at N55.454 trillion from the previous close of N55.647 trillion.

An aggregate of 389 million units of shares were traded in 12,039 deals, valued at N8 billion.

The Market Breadth closed negative as 21 equities emerged as gainers against 33 equities that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

DAAR COMMUNICATION led other gainers with 10.00% growth to close at N0.66 from the previous close of N0.60.

IMG and DEAPCAP among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.72% and 9.52% respectively.

Percentage Losers

OANDO led other price decliners as it sheds 10.00% of its share price to close at N81.90 from the previous close of N91.00

THE INITIATES, RTBRISOE and Secure Electronic Technology among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 9.95%, 9.72 and 9.23% respectively.

Volume Drivers

OANDO traded about 37 million units of its shares in 2,727 deals, valued at N3 billion.

ACCESSCORP traded about 15 million units of its shares in 418 deals, valued at N283 million.

TRANSCORP about 29 million units of its shares in 335 deals, valued at N321.8 million.
