Tuesday’s trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian stock market closed bearish as the All Share Index declined by 0.33% to close at 98,232.39 points from the previous close of 98,558.79 points.
The Market Capitalisation declined by 0.33% to close at N56.448 trillion from the previous close of N56.635 trillion, thereby shedding N187 billion.
An aggregate of 425.8 million units of shares were traded in 11,954 deals, valued at about N8.45 billion.
The Market Breadth closed negative as 26 equities emerged as gainers against 32 equities that declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers
International Breweries led other gainers with 9.98% growth to close at N4.41 from the previous close of 4.01.
MEYER, VERITAS KAPITAL and TRIPPLEG among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.94%, 9.93% and 9.91% respectively.
Percentage Losers
ELLAHLAKES led other price decliners as it sheds 9.93% to close at N3.99 from the previous close of N4.43.
CAVERTON and Livestock Feeds among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 9.92% and 9.57% respectively.
Volume Drivers
UBA traded about 108 million units of its shares in 2013 deals, valued at N3 billion.
Zenith Bank traded about 35 million units of its shares in 468 deals, valued at N1.3 billion.
ELLAHLAKES traded about 21.6 million units of its shares in 347 deals, valued at N88.5 million.
