Stock market closes bullish, up by 0.86%

The Nigerian stock market on Monday closed bullish as the All Share Index grew by 0.86% to close at 144,822.77 points from the previous close of 143,584.04 points.

The Market Capitalisation grew by 0.86% to close at N91.922 trillion from the previous close of N91.135 trillion, thereby adding N787 billion.

An aggregate of 520 million units of shares were traded in 35,490 deals, valued at N14.5 billion.

The Market Breadth closed positive as 48 equities emerged as gainers against 23 that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

MANSARD and SEPLAT led other gainers with 10.00% growth each to close at N15.84 and N5917.20 from the previous close of N14.40 and N5379.30 respectively.

SFSREIT and ELLAHKAKE among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.97% and 9.95% respectively.

Percentage Losers

International Energy Inurance led other price decliners as it shed 8.42% of its share price to close at N2.72 from the previous close of N2.97.

MCNICHOLS and THOMAWYAT among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 8.31% and 7.72% respectively.

Volume Drivers

ELLAHLAKE traded about 82 million units of its shares in 931 deals, valued at N1.18 billion.

CHAMS traded about 30 million units of its shares in 466 deals, valued at N127 million.

Sterling Bank traded about 25 million units of its shares in 2003 deals, valued at N206 million
