The Nigerian equity market on Monday closed on a positive note as the All Share Index grew further by 0.03% to settle at 25,229.12 points from the previous close of 25,221.87 points.
Market capitalisation grew by 0.03% to close at N13.162 trillion from the previous close of N13.158 trillion, thereby gaining N4 billion.
An aggregate of 251.19 million units of shares were traded in 3,737 deals, valued at N2.36 billion.
Market Breadth
The Market Breadth closed firm as 15 equities gained against 15 equities that declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers
University Press led other percentage gainers with 9.68% growth, closing at N1.36 from the previous close of N1.24.
Unity Bank, Regency Assurance, Champions Breweries and Cornerstone Insurance among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.62%, 9.09%, 8.97% and 8.62% respectively.
Percentage Losers
Transcorp led other price decliners as it shed 8.20% of its share price to close at N0.56 from the previous close of N0.61.
Royal Exchange and Jaiz Bank among other decliners also shed their share prices by 7.69% and 5.00% respectively.
