Seplat led 17 other gainers as NSEASI grew further by 0.17%

The Nigerian stock market on Thursday closed on a positive note as the All Share Index grew further by 0.17% to close at 26,355.35 points from the previous close of 26,310.77 points on Wednesday.

Market Capitalisation closed at N12.830 trillion, gaining N22 billion from the previous close of N12.808 trillion on Wednesday.

Aggregate volume of traded stocks closed at 347.8 million units, valued at N6.79 billion in 2,756 deals.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed negative as 18 stocks gained while 13 stocks declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Seplat led the gainers’ list with 9.28% growth, closing at N565 from the previous close of N517.

Chams Plc and Jaiz Bank among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.09% and 8.89% respectively.

 

Percentage Losers

Unity Bank, Law Union & Rock Insurance and Union Diagnostics among other price decliners shed their share prices by 8.47%, 8.16% and 8.00% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Zenith Bank traded about 103.7 million units of its shares in 541 deals, valued at N1.77 billion.
